How to Build a PC for Streaming?

Videogame broadcasting or streaming is all the rage in 2022. It has made millionaires out of ordinary people like PewDiePie (Felix Kjellberg) and MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson). If you wish to become a livestreamer of games on or YouTube yourself, you need to build your own streaming PC.

Let’s discuss how to build a pc for streaming. This is because most pre-built PCs don’t have the specs needed to make streaming work, or they’re at least too overpriced.

How to Build a PC for Streaming

To build a PC for streaming, you need parts that offer you a clear, high frame rate, and low lag stream when all is said and done. Most popular streamers have that sort of rig, but it will cost you at least $600 to get such a rig. To wit:

  • Shop for Streaming PC Builds: You need to scope out streaming PC build examples on the Internet. If you’re a hardcore streamer, you can explore a two-PC setup or even multiple displays (two to three monitors), while others might only have a podcast-type build.
  • Setting Up Your PC: You’ll need the right parts like video card, GPU, capture device if you’re gaming as a streamer, and so forth in order to setup and optimize your PC for streaming. You’ll also be recommended peripherals like headphones and speakers.
  • Setting Up Your Backdrop: Other things you should consider that many first-time streamers neglect is lighting and backdrops. You might need a green screen to make you blend in with the rest of your gaming surroundings and so forth.

What about Software and Upload Speed Help?

Your Internet provider should give you amazing upload speed that’s enough for a livestream. If you’re unsure if your Internet is fast enough, here’s a guide:

  • 480p: 1.2 mbps
  • 720p: 2.5 mbps
  • 1080p: 3.5 mbps

You’ll also need capture software and editing software so that you’re not just uploading raw footage of you playing hours and hours of content. Things like Adobe Premiere or Apple Final Cut Pro. You’ll need them to at least cut up the stream to edible 10-minute to 30-minute bits.

Streaming pc specs?

For streaming most modern games at 720p HD or 1080p Full HD, use this build of PC. Hunt for these hardware parts and software build your own PC for $1,200.
